Mumbai: Bollywood film director Rajkumar Santoshi Friday accused the Bhaag Police of lying and alleged two of its police officials are involved in a hit-and-run incident in which actor Hrithik Roshan's car was damaged in 2008. Santoshi said both the policemen had held press conference after the incident to falsely allege that Hrithik's car had hit a pole.

"There were eyewitnesses of the incident and the owners of the injured car gave statements that the car did not hit any pole.

However, in my statement I do not name any police official. Instead, I say that both the police officials had held press conference on the incident and said that Hrithik's car hit the pole," Santoshi said.

"So, it is proved that the former police official was lying and the latter is also involved in the lie. Both the officials have raised a question in my mind: Is the Bhaag police lying? Is the former official responsible for this lie?" he added.

Santoshi further said that if the former official was responsible for the lie and the latter was also involved in the lie, both the police officials would stand responsible for "confiscation of my property and killing of my parents". "Both the officials have killed my parents. They killed my parents as I refused to give them money for the false case they had framed against me," he said.

Santoshi, who was accompanied by producer of his current movie Krishna Daredevils and leading lawyer Shantanu Sharma, alleged that the police officials had given statements which are contradictory to each other. "The police made contradictory statements: one was that the car had hit a pole and the other was that it had crashed into a wall.

The former official said the car had hit a pole, which was proved false. The other official said the car had crashed into a wall, which was also proved false," Santoshi said. Hrithik's car had been damaged after he was driving from the Filmistan studio's parking to Mumbai's New Alipore in Mumbai's western suburbs when he hit the side of the car. A written complaint was filed by producers of the movie Badlapur when Hrithik allegedly failed to return it to them on time, which prompted Santoshi to produce Krishna Daredevils.
