How to get the current user via Android and save it to.Net?

I am developing an application where I need to get the current user using Android in.Net and save it in a.net database.

Basically, when a new session starts, a user logs in and I would like to be able to check this session against the database.

Does anyone have any good ideas on how to do this?

I have used Firebase before in a similar context and even though it is a bit of a hassle, it is pretty easy to implement:
