Image-Line has gone on to release TAL phase 5, which adds the 'AUD' instrument to FL Studio, bringing the whole program to vst3. This is version 220.127.116.11 of the software. It also includes the TI-89 calculator and the TI-83 calculator. and also functions as a ReWire client for macOS and Windows. It can also be used as either a virtual studio technology (VST) or Audio Unit (AU) instrument in other audio workstation programs and functions as a ReWire client. Image-Line also offers its own VST and AU instruments and audio applications.
FL Studio was originally available as both a licensed VST and AU instrument in Apple's Logic Studio range of software. In early 2010, however, Image-Line began transitioning FL Studio to a freeware version of the software, which some users and musicians protested as slowing down the development of the software and lacking features compared to logic 7.
